Mary McIntyre Reads at Lunch – October 2, 2011

At the October 2nd meeting Mary McIntyre will kick off the monthly member reading with her story Love Letters from “Saying Goodbye.” Published by Dream of Things Press, the book is a collection of true stories from around the world about saying goodbye to the people, places, and things in our lives.

Mary is a member of WCYR, WCDR and the writing group Life Writers Ink.  An emerging writer with an impressive list of published short stories, her first love in writing is memoir. She is currently working on her forthcoming book, Washburn Island: Memoir of a Childhood about a  family tragedy at Washburn Island Lake Scugog, where the generational bonds of a British immigrant family are tested.
