This workshop provides hands-on experience doing copy edit on a potential manuscript submission. Participants will bring in 3-5 pieces that are ready for editing. The workshop leader will demonstrate copy edit on their own work using an LCD projector and Google Docs. Writers will bring their own laptops and are invited to have their work projected on the screen to be edited collaboratively with the group. We will examine submission guidelines and formatting options.

Bio: Erika MacNeil

Erika MacNeil is a public school teacher-librarian in Newmarket, ON. A dancer by training and writer on a whim, Erika is trained in dramatic arts and classical vocal/choral work with an emphasis on public speaking and oratorical presentation. She is an advisory member of the WCYR board as the Open Mic host and past Youth Coordinator.
