How to Focus and Write for the Reader
For whom does the writer write? While the answer may seem obvious, keeping the reader top of mind is not always as easy as it sounds. In Jerry Amernic’s workshop, How to Focus and Write for the Reader, writers will learn the art of readying themselves for the task at hand. Focus is critical. Amernic will use popular books and films to illustrate his points and attendees will get the chance to demonstrate their learning through the use of their own work. There will be a discussion about the all-important reader and why writers can never take their eye off this person. Amernic shows what can happen when the writer ignores the reader.
