No More Writing Classes! Members-only workshop with Maaja Wentz
Would you like to increase your creativity and productivity while developing your creative voice? Want to uncover the secret to better writing? Hint: It involves having more fun. Join Maaja Wentz for this members only workshop in Newmarket.
Whether your writing is literary or commercial, prose or poetry; the courses you have taken may be holding you back. This workshop challenges received notions about proper literary conception. Unlearn lessons that block your creativity and productivity. Discover freeing methods of writing attuned with your talents. Play editing games to tame your manuscript. Spend more time in a joyful state of creative flow. This workshop will guide writers through practical techniques to boost your creativity, uncover your ‘personal best,’ themes and ideas, and transform yourself into an avid writer.
This workshop is suitable for beginners and advanced writers. We will explore writing into the dark, writing from life, journalling to write, writing sprints (and when to avoid them), plot gardening, and bare bones outlining. Expect a curation of best techniques inspired by and adapted from writers such as James Clear, Dean Wesley Smith, Holly
Lisle, François Rabelais, Roz Morriz, Anne Lamott, Steff Greene, Gary Keller, Melvin Helitzer, and Donald Mass.
