Querying about Queries: How to catch an agent/editor’s eye and plan for success with MJ Moores
April 23 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pmFree
**This is a FREE Members-only workshop. Space is limited. Please reserve your spot below.
With an abundance of tools, templates, blog info and reading guides sometimes it’s hard to see how to develop a solid query letter for all the “good advice” you need to slog through first. Writing query letters is another writing craft that can either make or break key opportunities for getting your manuscript in front of the right representative.
In this workshop, you will bring your existing query letter drafts to be tweaked and improved upon. Take an in-depth look at the most common query templates/practices and discuss which version best fits your book and your target agent. Develop a plan for querying and making modifications along the way.
MJ will rely on first-hand feedback after speaking with agents, info from attending agent-led seminars, online research, and personal experience.
Note: This is a FICTION and CREATIVE NON-FICTION workshop. Non-fiction manuscripts require a completely different process.
