In this The Importance of the Edit workshop, you will gain step-by-step instructions on how the editorial process works and what it entails – from writing the initial manuscript to the submission to editors. We will also discuss the importance of the developmental edit pre-submission – how this kind of edit not just irons out any structural flaws or inconsistencies, but ultimately improves the overall arc of your story and leaves the reader fully immersed in your book. With so many manuscripts lost to the slush pile, this workshop will equip you with the resources to produce a work that stands out to editors and publishers alike.
