Fact or Fiction? Q&A with the York Regional Police
Sunday, Feb 17, 2019
1:00pm – 4:00pm
Do you know the rights of an accused criminal? What is the booking procedure? How long are police allowed to hold a suspect? Do Miranda rights apply in Canada?
Writers can do a lot of research online, but nothing beats hearing from the source. Join the WCYR for a Q&A with a York Regional Police officer and learn about the general techniques, practices and technology used by our modern police forces, including differences between the US and Canadian procedures and fact versus TV. Come ready with your questions and bring your fiction to life!
