Gearing Up for the York Writers Conference: With Marilyn Kleiber

Meet Marilyn Kleiber

Let us introduce you to Marilyn Kleiber, one of the WCYR blue pencil editors. Marilyn is an author, publisher, mentor, and educator. Her debut book was Short Tales From a Tall Person. In 2013, she won a prize in the Alice Munro Short Story contest. Marilyn has written articles for magazines and newspapers, edited newsletters, and published blogs, and has found support through several writer’s groups. The Arrival, the first book in Marilyn’s Pridden Saga fantasy series, was published in 2018. Book two, The Healers, was released in February 2019, and Marilyn is currently deep in book three.

Marilyn is experienced as a substantive/structural editor. She has helped new authors clarify their manuscripts, and specializes in speculative fiction. Marilyn has helped numerous writers, and her Blue Pencil critiques are invaluable. Please click here to go to the Blue Pencil page for the YWC.
