| Bio | Kia was born and raised in the Washington, DC suburbs, and divides her time between Maryland and Ontario Canada. She earned a law degree and worked as an attorney and legal writing instructor for fifteen years before returning to her first love of writing fiction. Her short story What Lies Inside, appears in the Amazon Bestselling anthology Festive Mayhem. Her debut novel Pursuit of the Truth, Book One in the West Investigations Series, written under the pen name K.D. Richards, will be released on February 1, 2021.
