Paid or Unpaid: Let’s Blog!

Want a fun, quick jumpstart to your writing this New Year? How about a guest blog post on the Easy Writer Blog!

The WCYR is eager to support our community of writers and would like to provide you with the opportunity to publish your work and add to your portfolio.

Are you an experienced writer or blogger? Then this is for you!

Are you new to writing and blogging? Then this is for you too!

The WCYR is looking for a range of voices and perspectives. We are looking for you to add your personality, know-how, and flare to the Easy Writer Blog.

Not sure if you have enough to say for a “paid post”? That’s fine too. Flex your writing muscles. Short, general (unpaid) posts are welcome. All posts should be in your voice. We want to hear what you have to say. The word count for longer, paid posts should be 300 to 500 words: not too short, not too long. Each post should be original content related to writing and/or reading.

We’d love to see your “How To,” “list” or “personal experience” post.

We also want to know about you. Include your bio, with a link to your website and social media. Also, include an image related to your piece – something that will grab a reader’s attention. Remember to follow all copyright laws.

Please note: only one member per month will be awarded the “paid blog” honour. You must be a member of The Writer’s Community of York Region to submit a post. Not a member?
