Then you are who we are looking for a volunteer to be our Library Liaison.

Work with the libraries of York Region and spread the word about the WCYR! The Library Liaison’s goal is to build relationships with the various York Region (and surrounding) public libraries. The Liaison will ensure frequent dialogues with their coordinators regarding upcoming events, workshops, seminars, etc. from us, as well as for us. Let them know about our next meetings, who will be speaking and what the topic will be. Let us know about their next event and how it will be of interest to us. Connect with the right people to coordinate workshops and seminars given by our members, working in conjunction with the libraries.

Gain some amazing experience working with a professional organization. Utilize your skills and help the WCYR and your fellow members in a positive way. Volunteering as the Library Liaison for the WCYR will give you valuable experience and a new item for your résumé under “Volunteer Experience.”

This position is open to any member of the WCYR. As a thank you, after six months of service, the Library Liaison will receive a free membership for the duration of your time in the position.
