Gearing Up For the York Writers Conference: With Lesley Donaldson

Meet Lesley Donaldson

How to die? Heart Attack? Gunshot? How is death treated in fiction? How do characters react and is their behaviour correct? Lesley Donaldson will answer these questions in her York Writers Conference workshop. Lesley will show us why no one performs CPR correctly in Hollywood. She will teach us why Flatliners was wrong, and we will learn about other frequent medical mistakes in fiction and how to correct them across genres.

Lesley Donaldson is a multi-genre author. She enjoys crafting escapes for readers and helping other authors achieve their writing dreams. Lesleyโ€™s debut fantasy, The Queenโ€™s Viper, was a semi-finalist in the 2016 Kindle Book Awards. Lesley is indie and small-press published. Through Kickstarter, she was able to release The Wrath of Atticus. Lesley has also been published by The Ed Greenwood Group. Lesley is a Canadian ER nurse, hobby medievalist, mother to a son with special needs, and often a companionable wife.

We look forward to having Lesley joins us at the York Writers Conference and to her insights on how to write death.
