We sat down with Roderick D. Turner to discuss his writing journey, creative process, and what inspires his stories. Get an inside look at his experiences and learn valuable insights from a fellow writer in our community.

Which writers inspire you and why?

Larry Niven, Orson Scott Card, George RR Martin, William Gibson and others in the sci-fi or fantasy genres, because they basically defined the genres for me.

What is your favourite genre in which to write and why?

Speculative fiction – take what we are familiar with today and consider the question: what if?

Do you have a current work in progress? Can you tell us a bit about it?

Just finished first draft of my 12th novel, which was an unexpected (as is often the case) storyline that involves, not surprisingly, the deteriorating climate on our planet, as well as the acceptance and integration of AI-based synthetic humans into our society.
