The time was right. After publishing two poetry books enter light – exit light and everything in between and Old Embers Rekindled – My Fire is Not Out Yet! and having a significant number of new poems, I decided it was time to put together a collection of the best of the old and the newest.
As this book covers the breadth of my poetry writing career, I aptly called it Suspension ~ of Time and Space. The new and old poems are intermixed within the Openings, Soundings, Criss-Crossings, Weighings, and Closings sections of the book. I’ve added simple illustrations, thanks to Judy Stonebanks, to complement the poetry and enhance the attractiveness of the book.
My hope is that this combination will make for an enjoyable read of my poetry.

Over his lifetime, Gary Johnson has sporadically written poems as time and events allowed, which resulted in his first collection of poems, enter light – exit light and everything in between. For his second publication, he combined his love of poetry and his photography in Old Embers Rekindled, where the complementary words and pictures garnered many favourable reviews.
