Announcing VPL’s Writer-in Residence Program

The Writer-in-Residence program at Vaughan Public Libraries supports aspiring writers through guidance, mentorship, and practical learning opportunities that strengthen skills and build confidence.

In May and June 2026, VPL welcomes award-winning author and professional writing coach Deborah Kerbel as Writer-in-Residence. Deborah will offer one-on-one consultations, manuscript critiques, workshops, and drop-in Q&A sessions for writers at all levels.

One-on-One Consultations for Aspiring Writers

Get personalized feedback on your writing in one-on-one sessions with Deborah Kerbel, an award-winning author and professional writing coach. Each consultation session lasts 45 minutes and may be held in-person or online. No library card is required; this opportunity is open to everyone.

Drop-in Sessions

Three drop-in sessions will run throughout May and June. No booking is required—anyone is welcome to stop by and attend. Each session will cater to a different age group. Click here for dates, locations, and times.
