May’s Mega Local Author Event

Words are, in my not-so-humble opinion, our most inexhaustible source of magic.

The participating authors of May’s Mega Local Author Event with Chapters in Newmarket certainly felt the magic the weekend of the 4th & 5th. Participants worked hard utilizing the knowledge they gleaned from the pre-workshop given by Gary McGugan on Optimizing Personal Appearances, and interacted with a multitude of readers of all ages.

This WCYR “member perk” became a reality due to Gary’s vision of seeing our published members with their book-babies in bookstores, doing signings. Several active members reach out to local and big-named bookstores on a regular basis, but many more had not yet integrated it into their event line-ups — either because they weren’t sure how or hadn’t entertained the option as of yet.

13 authors shared the magic of their work over 2 days with a supportive and enthusiastic staff at Chapters Newmarket and with their customers. Special thanks goes to James MacIver, Customer Experience Manager at Chapters Newmarket and Erik Lipsius, Customer Experience Manager at Chapters Markham for their tireless support.

But we’re not done!

On June 8th & 9th you’ll find another 15 WCYR authors excited to share their books at the Markham Chapters.

Be sure to spread the word and stop on by to say hi and pick up a book.
